Once a year since 2002, a delegation of members of the Strategic Metropolitan Plan of Barcelona visit another city or metropolitan area to get to know other situations. The aim of these trips is to gain a broader view so that those in charge in municipalities and institutions are better able to take decisions regarding the most suitable strategies to be followed in their spheres of action.

The members of this delegation are mayors from the AMB, councillors, other people representing the municipalities and representatives from the institutions that go to make up the Delegate Committee of the PEMB.
